Bloomen consortium for “Blockchain & Media”
An idea marathon is being organized on the 23 and 24 January by Ant1, in the midst of his participation in the Bloomen European Consortium.
The consortium, which aims to research and develop tools using blockchain technology to solve problems in media protection, management and distribution, is now in the final stages of its research program and is organizing a marathon of ideas development that can provide additional services in the field of blockchain and media.
On January 23 and 24 at the Semeli Hotel in Nicosia between 10am and 5pm on Thursday and between 10am and 1:30 pm on Friday, 5-7 teams of 2 to 5 people will qualify through the process of expression of interest they will present their ideas and claim prizes, free advertising and other gifts worth several thousand euros.
Participating in Bloomen IDEAthon can have existing and startup businesses, students and individuals who can act as independent groups because of their interests in the media and blockchain technology. The only requirements are for teams to be between 2 and 5 people and presentations to be in English.
Teams can present their own idea, or work on some of the suggestions put forward by the Bloomen Consortium:
- Copyrights conflict resolution.
- Secure distributed storage of media content.
- How to pay VAT when you use a virtual currency.
- Media item ownership certification.
- A rewards system for media consumers using a virtual currency.Battle fake news with blockchain.
The site will have mentors from both the Bloomen consortium and professionals working in the fields of Blockchain and Media.
